Matthew Bartky, RM/T Desiree Bartky, Reiki Master

Reiki was not the first system of energy work I have used or am accustomed to, but by far one of the most profound. Reiki has had a wonderful effect on my life in many ways. Not only does Reiki help bring me calm and inner peace, but also helps me with my own struggle against my chronic Psoriatic Arthritis. I have integrated Reiki into my daily life, and feel all the more blessed and richer for it. My own sense of spirituality has grown, and my inner light shines all the brighter. I want to bring Reiki to all those who seek it, so they can experience the wonderful nature of this beautiful system. I am proud to have ascended to be a certified Reiki III Master/Teacher. I am an ordained ULC minister, and Head Priest of Sacred Wind Sanctuary, an Earth-Centered Faith congregation. I am also Lead Coordinator for Central New Jersey Pagan Pride Project. It is my pleasure to help others, providing both Reiki and Spiritual guidance.

I have always wanted to assist others in their healing journeys. I researched and experimented with several different methods of healing, but nothing felt quite right. That all changed when I discovered Reiki. When I first received my Reiki I, I was astonished at the healing power of Reiki. Wanting to expand my knowledge of Reiki, and to be better able to help myself and others, I studied and obtained my Reiki II and III certifications. My desire to spread Reiki is not only limited to people in need, but to animals as well. Animals can not speak for themselves, but all too often need healing just as much as their human counterparts.

Matthew and Desiree realized their longstanding connection in its most beautiful form when they were wed in October 2011.
Meriwyn Travisano, RM/T

I will admit when I first heard of reiki I was skeptical. Then I attended my first reiki share healing event and I have been a believer ever since. The Earth is in crisis mode, as evidenced by the crazy weather, catastrophic storms, global warming (yes, it exists), overuse of resources, etc. We have become a fractured, stressed people and we need to rediscover courtesy and compassion. Reiki has not only proven to me that energy healing works, but it also has a calming effect on both practitioners and clients. While it is not a "magic cure" for sickness or disease, Reiki therapy is good for the soul and can help in giving back to nature and our roots.
